A fashion article for lads who live in their clothes, not just photograph them
I’m not built like a mannequin and I’m not chasing trends that disappear faster than payday. I’m just an average Joe who likes a solid outfit and hates feeling like I cheaped out. DansFits is basically me putting years of scrolling, testing, returning, and swearing into words.
Smart casual should feel easy. Same way warming up before the gym stops your knees screaming, getting the right pieces stops your outfit falling apart. Correct tools, correct fit. Now I’m no scientist but I’m pretty sure that’s how injuries — and bad fits — are avoided.
Different clothes this time. Same logic. Stuff that works in actual life.

Unstructured Wool Blazer
Soft shoulders, no stiff padding, moves when you move. Makes jeans look intentional and tees look grown. If it feels like office wear, it’s wrong. This one should feel like a cardigan that went to finishing school.

Oxford Button-Down Shirt
The unsung hero. Slight texture, holds its shape, works buttoned or relaxed. Looks better slightly rumpled too — perfection is overrated. Proper smart casual energy. Bloody loveleh.

Dark Indigo Denim
Clean, straight cut, no rips, no fades doing the most. This is the glue piece. Dress it up, dress it down, survive spills and long days. This is the banker. Buy once, wear forever.

Suede Loafers
Instant upgrade without trying too hard. Soft suede makes them feel relaxed, not wedding-y. Socks or no socks, both valid. Just pure fire when paired with denim or tailored trousers.

Leather Belt (Actually Decent One)
Quiet luxury vibes. No massive buckle, no plastic shine. This is one of those pieces no one compliments but everyone notices when it’s bad. Proper gear matters.

Simple Steel Watch
Nothing flashy. Clean face, solid weight, disappears under a cuff nicely. Tells the time and finishes a fit. That’s it. Overthinking watches is how people get hurt.
I started this blog because I love the process — researching, testing, wearing things into the ground. I’m sharing what I’ve learnt so you don’t have to waste money doing the same mistakes I did. Clothes should work for you, not the other way round.
More proper fits soon. Probably more spelling crimes too.
